What began as a working cattle farm in a quiet North Carolina valley has grown into a hemp farm, but the heart of it hasn't changed. The farm rests on an old flood plain tucked into a small valley, a setting that creates its own microclimate and some of the most fertile soil around. For generations this land raised hundreds of head of cattle, and we still keep a small herd today. That rare combination of the valley's geography, its climate, and decades of cattle grazing has built soil that's perfect for growing hemp.
